- I'm not sure whether gmx.at has also a jabber server (But it seems to work with PSI!?). I test it only with my .net account. However gmx has a own IM which based on Jabber so u can use it with a freemail acc and any jabber client (I use also freemail).
To name u a client, which uses SASL and works with gmx: Coccinella
btw du kommst aus Österreich? //Umlaute werden übrigens in der Preview als ? bei mir dargestellt

- Some servers only work with plaintext login (e.g. gmx.net), so u can't login with goim2
